If you’ve just started driving for Fleek and are learning the ropes, first of all, welcome to the family! We’re glad to have you on board.

If you’ve never driven for a ridesharing app before and have no prior experience, don’t worry, we’ve got your back. We’ve compiled a list of tips for new drivers, compiled from trained, seasoned drivers themselves, to give you an authentic look into the world you’re about to drive into!

Schedule your Free Time

If you’re driving for Fleek strictly as a side income and only have a limited time to work, schedule the time you have so that it aligns with surge hours. Surge hours are the time where rides are in high demands so rates go up concurrently. If you’re looking to maximize your income, capitalize on surge hours to earn the most you can. Surge hours are 7-9 a.m. and 5-7 p.m. during the weekdays. So say you work a 9-5 job already, you could use that commute and earn some cash while doing it! Also, the weekends are some of the best times to work, especially Friday and Saturday nights between 8-2 a.m. So say you’re a college student with the weekends off, the best time to work are the weekends. Since Fleek allows you to work any time, any place, you can just start the app during these times and start working!

Passengers will be Friendly

A huge concern for new drivers is the type of people they’ll be driving. People are concerned with rude or rowdy rides but the truth is, you’ll ride about a hundred rides and maybe one of out of those might be not as good. Even then, it would still be not as bad as you think. People just get in the car, have a pleasant conversation and are generally very friendly. So you don’t have to worry about your safety as much.

Take a Break Now and Then

You’ll find that driving for Fleek is very fun and most of the time, the hours will just seem to fly by. You’ll pick someone up, drive to and from from wherever they want to go and have an interesting conversation in the meantime. You can go by through the entire day like this but at the end of it, you’ll find that you’ll be super exhausted. Some people look to work non-stop through the day to meet their own goals and that’s good but take a break from time to time. You can work whenever you want, that’s the beauty of Fleek. However, you can also take a break whenever you want!

There’s’ no quota, no requirements from Fleek, it all comes down to how much you want to work and how much you don’t. Taking a break for an hour or two might even just rejuvenate you to work even more, but it’s important to take breaks. Log out the app, grab a meal and just have some time for yourself. When you’re done, you can start driving again!
